2013 Christmas Giveaway!

You guys, I am so, so excited to finally be able to tell you all about this giveaway! I’ve been planning it for months, but I’m a stickler for tradition and will not put up Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving. So now that it’s *barely* past Thanksgiving, I FINALLY get to spill the beans! Welcome to What My Kids Read 2013 Christmas Giveaway!

2013 Christmas Giveaway ~ What My Kids Read

I’ve got a few of my favorite Christmas things to share with one lucky reader! (Total value $124.95) You have from today, 8am November 29 2013, until 8pm on Monday, December 2 2013, to enter this giveaway. You can get up 15 chances to win by liking and following the sponsors below!

Samovar Gardens Artisan Teas

Samovar Gardens, an artisan tea company, is giving one lucky reader 1 Samovar Drinking Jar with Lid, 2 Holiday Blends(15 servings each), a Healthy Helping of Disposable Tea Filters, and a Samovar Gardens Bumper Sticker. (Spoon not included). The two Holiday Blends are Cherry Christmas (Juicy berries, luscious almonds, creamy coconut, and vanilla are carefully blended with a premium black tea. Amaretto delight!) and Cocoa Candy Cane (A rooibus tea blended with real chocolate and cacao nibs, spiked with peppermint. A virtually caffeine free, a perfect evening tea!) I’ve been told that these teas are both spectacular when infused in hot cocoa.

My brother and sister-in-law are a part of the team behind this company. They mix their own blends, locally sourcing as much as they can, and their teas are seriously delicious! I haven’t got to try their winter blends yet, so I’m already jealous that one of you will be getting to sample the new flavors before I will. ($25 total value)

Arian Armstrong's Christmas Cards ~ Giveaway at What My Kids Read

The lovely and talented artist, Arian Armstrong, is giving away a set of 10 Christmas cards in her newest Christmas design.  If you have not already heard of her, please check out her etsy and society6 stores. Seriously talented, right? I would dearly love to wallpaper my girls’ room in Arian Armstrong wallpaper (which doesn’t exist, but totally should because lots of us want to live in her illustrations!). She is also generously offering a 20% discount at her Etsy store just for you. Just type in this code when you check out: BOOKBLOG20. So enter to win these cards, and take advantage of the special code too! (Gift is $20 value)

Pieces of the Promise: Christmas Family Devotions for the Advent season ~ Giveaway at What My Kids Read

Our friends just designed and made this wonderful Advent activity that our family has been previewing this month: Pieces of the Promise. It’s a puzzle with a short daily devotion. Every day, the kids put together one part of the puzzle while listening to the devotion and then we talked about the questions at the end. It takes 16 days – which is perfect for our family during Advent – gives you room for those nights you forget or miss. You can read our review here (spoiler: We loved it!). Pieces of the Promise is giving a puzzle to one reader on this blog! It’s a $25 value, and I think your family will really enjoy it. We sure have!

The Blue Marble, Fort Thomas KY

A local children’s bookstore, Blue Marble Books, (seriously one of the cutest little shops packed with children’s books) is also participating in our giveaway! Blue Marble Books has been around for 34 years, and has a great staff that listens and offer thoughtful suggestions of books your kids will enjoy. You can even order online, and get their Web Special of 20% off of most books and toys they carry and you can pick it up at the shop. Blue Marble Books is partnering with Random House “Grow Your Heart 3 Sizes” campaign, encouraging children to bless their communities with acts of service (you can read about the campaign here). In honor of National Grinch Day, on December 1st (tomorrow!), they are hosting a reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, (call ahead for a reservation). They are graciously sending a hardcover copy of that Dr. Suess’ classic to the one reader that wins this giveaway! ($15 value)

God With Us: What My Kids Read 2013 Christmas Giveaway

David and I wanted to share something from our hearts too, so we will be sending a hardcover copy of God With Us: Rediscovering the Meaning of Christmas edited by Greg Pennoyer and Gregory Wolfe. There are daily readings (illustrated with classical paintings), and we will be going through this devotional as a couple this Advent season. It includes writings by Scott Cairns and Eugene Peterson, among others. Flipping through it, it looks really good! We are looking forward to starting it this Sunday, and hopefully you will enjoy it too! ($29.95 value)
