This week has been full of fun, catching up with lots of close friends and even some family! Wednesday we had our regular play date with a family that has become so very dear to us this past year. I was never a fan of play dates when the boys were small, but now that enough of my kids are old enough to play without constant intervention, it is really nice.
We spent most of Thursday with friends who live out in the country, enjoying lots of land to roam, an old tractor, kitty cats, treasured friends to play with, and a baby to cuddle. It was really refreshing for us during this season of constant work!
Friday night, we had more close friends over for dinner. We played cards with them, and just enjoyed time with friends that feel like family. Later that night, I walked over to another friend’s house to celebrate her birthday, and had some precious girl time.
Saturday, Brontë and I went to a Mother’s Blessing for another dear friend who is expecting her fourth child. It was a very sweet time encouraging and praying for her and the baby.
David’s parents came to stay for a few days, which was wonderful. I’ve been blessed with great in-laws that really love their family and it is always a joy to have them visit. Our eBay store is still revving up, keeping us very busy. Still haven’t gotten to the pumpkin muffins, but I tried a new recipe that was totally delicious and perfect for fall: Brown Sugar Pound Cake. I found the recipe on Pinterest, and it was a huge hit. All in all, it truly was a lovely week!
How was your week? Spend time catching up with friends? Try a new recipe for fall? I’d love to hear about it!
