This week behind the scenes of What My Kids Read…
We had a fairly normal week with my regular coffee date with a dear friend and our weekly playdate that was encouraging as always. Worked hard on our business and accomplished a lot with the boys helping. That has been really exciting to see how they can actually work alongside us. They don’t work long hours or anything, but it has been really neat to find ways that they can actually help, and they are enjoying it too. Now to figure out what the girls can do!
We had some friends over for dinner on Tuesday night, and it was nice to catch up with them! David and I had a fun time watching a movie with them and discussing it afterwards. Good times!
Then, my parents and two youngest siblings came up for a visit this weekend. It was so good to have them here, but as always, the time slipped away too quickly. We introduced them to some new coffee shops, played a new card game (Citadels – the boys are loving it!), and David got to show off his new cooking specialty: sushi! It was a chilly weekend, perfect for hot drinks and staying home, all cozy with family. We were all a bit forlorn when we said goodbye on Monday morning, but the holidays are right around the corner, and we will see them again soon.
All in all, we had a lovely week. What about you? Did you have any extended family time last week? Show off a new cooking skill? Interested in trying out the new game we’re enjoying? Buy it here through our Amazon affiliate link: Citadels It will not cost you extra, and it helps us a little. Have you ever played it before? I’d love to hear about it!
